Conflict Minerals

Tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold are minerals identified as "conflict minerals".
They are necessary for the production of everyday objects: mobile phones, tablets, notebooks, cars, airplanes, light bulbs, etc. Some militias and groups of rebels - such as the ones in the East of Congo, who have killed more than 5 million people from 1998 to the present - finance themselves with the trade of those minerals.

MB Elettronica's Commitment

MB Elettronica's objective is to promote responsible sourcing among the suppliers of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold which operate in high-risk or conflict affected areas. The aim is to reduce the financing of armed groups in those areas with revenue derived from the exploitation of local materials.
